Regent Chemicals commenced business in 1985 as a small factory outlet in Yass, providing high quality cleaning chemicals to the local region.

Over time, the business expanded to the point where, in 1995, a production unit was established in Mitchell, ACT.  This unit became the manufacturing base for an ever-increasing range of cleaning chemicals and products designed to cater to the local cleaning and hospitality industries.

As the company's reputation for quality and service grew, so did the product range.  To meet the needs of a developing client base, Regent branched out to cover adjunct items, such as equipment, machinery, and domestic consumables.

In early 2001, Ray Morton purchased the company.  With his strong managerial background in the cleaning industry in both Sydney and Canberra, Ray had the skills to ensure that a focused expansion program could be implemented.

A modernization program ensued, based on recognized industry best practice and legislated requirements.  This meant the purchase of modern manufacturing equipment, the documentation of approved methodologies, the introduction of quality control processes, and, most importantly, the application of NH&MRC guidelines for the production of approved material safety data sheets for the complete Regent product range.

To complement this core business activity, Regent Chemicals also offers equipment servicing, product advice and training programs based on AS 9001, ACHS guidelines and nationally accredited certification in Asset Maintenance.
